Ah, once again a song about drinking is is the topic for this post.
Again, because of the lyrical subject matter, this song is often attributed to Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, and occasionally The Bouncing Souls, despite not sounding anything like any of those bands.
The song is actually called, quite simply, 'Irish Drinking Song', and is performed by Buck-O-Nine. It appears on their 1994 album "Songs In The Key Of Bree".
Buck-O-Nine, from California, has released several full length albums and have also made numerous appearances on various compilation cds. They're commonly classified as a third wave ska band, blending ska and punk attributes together. If you enjoy bands like Goldfinger, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, or Reel Big Fish, give Buck-O-Nine a listen. You'll like what you hear.

Until next time.
